Pura Veda Coconut Yoghurt and Seed Mix
Talk about putting nature in a pack. Take a dash of coconut milk, mix it with the goodness of organic yoghurt, add a whole heap of health-boosting seeds and you have yourself a recipe for health superstardom.

This is exactly what's on offer by health food specialists Conscious Foods, with its new line of products called Pura Veda.

The line's creamy coconut yoghurt blends perfectly with its unprocessed, uncut seed mix, which is just how the company intended it. Their yoghurt and seed samples at last weekend's Conscious Living Expo were quite the talk of the expo!

Pura Veda's Blend of Nature Seed Mix Almost Too Good To Be True!

A mixture of buckwheat, sunflower kernels, raisins, sesame seeds, millet, pumpkin seeds, linseed, poppy seeds, chia seeds and amaranth, Pura Veda's "Blend of Nature" is designed to be mixed with pretty much anything! The blend can be made into muesli, biscuits, snacks or even eaten by the handful.

It is promoted as a weight loss product, but coming from someone who does not need to lose weight I find this an interesting marketing tool. I like to think of it more as a healthy addition to any balanced diet, rather than a weight loss tool.

The seeds contained in the blend are a great source of calcium, manganese, copper, magnesium, iron, zinc, phosphorous, folate, protein, potassium, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamins B1 and B6, selenium, fibre and much more! Therefore Pura Veda is great for everyone, including the lactose intolerant, the gluten free, and even those who are seeking to gain weight through a balanced diet, and not just for those who want to lose a few kilos.

Also, while the "blend of nature" is gluten free, wheat free, dairy free, and doesn't contain any added sugars, it does contain sundried raisins. This is certainly a healthy alternative to sugar but is still very high in natural sugars, which might be a consideration for some people. Our tip: if you don't want the raisins, pick them out!

It's also high in omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids and chock full of antioxidants. So really, anyone who is interested in their health can benefit from the Pura Veda seed mix.

Pura Veda's Coconut Yoghurt Still to Come – And We Can't Wait!

The coconut yoghurt is an absolute delight and super healthy! Made from coconut milk, cultures, the weird and wonderful agar, and sweetened with organic agave nectar, the yoghurt is dairy free, totally natural and vegan.

While not actually available on health food store shelves yet, the coconut yoghurt was too good not to include in this review. Not to mention it really was a perfect addition to Pura Veda's blend of nature.

There is a great market for this type of yoghurt and Sano Magazine will be sure to recommend it as soon as it hits the shelves at local health food stores.

What's the Cost?

As we mentioned, the Pura Veda coconut yoghurt is not yet available commercially, but we will be sure to update this as soon as it is!

Pura Veda's blend of nature is available online on the Conscious Foods website in packs of 600g ($14.99), 1kg ($20.99), and 2kg ($31.99).

It is also sold at health food stores across Australia. For a list of distributors, or to find your closest store, ask Conscious Foods directly on their Facebook page.
