Rawsome Chocolate
Whoever said that chocolate was bad for you? The creations by Bondi-based Rawsome Foods are anything but unhealthy.

In fact, it is companies like Rawsome that have given chocolate a new meaning, turning it not only into a healthy snack, but a super food.

The Evolution of Chocolate

While most major brands of chocolate use the highly processed form of chocolate known as cocoa, Rawsome chocolates are made from the powerful cacao bean along with all its antioxidant properties, minerals, vitamins and dietary fibre.

While other chocolates are full of processed dairy, cane sugar, gluten, nuts, soy and a whole range of other allergens, Rawsome chocolates are gluten, dairy, soy, nut and cane sugar free. The chocolates are also organic, low GI, vegan friendly and diabetic friendly!

Instead of chemicals and flavourings contained in processed, sweetened chocolates, Rawsome's raw chocolates contain the following ingredients: virgin coconut oil, cacao powder, carob powder and coconut sugar. That's it! You can't get much better than that when it comes to chocolate.

Rawsome Chocolates are Not Only Healthy, They're Delicious!

Rawsome chocolates come in four flavours: Cruisy Coco, made with raw shredded coconut, Coffee Crunch with ground coffee, Mighty Mint with peppermint oil, and Groovy Ginger, with raw shredded ginger.

The chocolates are raw, they are real food and so, consequently, they need to be refrigerated. This idea of eating real food is obvious when you take a bite of Rawsome's chocolates. You'll find real bits of coffee beans or pieces of ginger and even though the chocolate is scrumptious, it's not bad for you and it doesn't leave you with a sick feeling. A couple of pieces is enough to make you feel satisfied.

Of course, Rawsome chocolates are made from the cacao bean so they have a strong flavour. If you don't like dark chocolate it might take some getting used to. But it is also much, much better for you so worth a try! Raw cacao powder is unadulterated and so contains much more nutrients than cocoa powder. Along with coconut oil, which has numerous health benefits, as outlined in this article The Many Benefits of Coconut Oil, Rawsome chocolates really are a healthy treat that's more akin to a super food.

What's the Cost?

Rawsome chocolates retail for around $7.50 per 54g pack and are available in health food shops in various regions across Australia.
